You've tried to stop viewing pornography, but with no lasting success. You've been struggling on your own--possibly for years--and still you keep falling backward. You feel like it should be so easy to stop, but yet you just can't seem to do it. What now?
The process of recovery and repentance is a journey. And just like any journey, how you prepare and plan for recovery is a crucial part of reaching your destination. Using gospel-centered principles, this 8-week course, an Introduction to Pornography Addiction Recovery, provides an overview of what recovery looks like, what it will require of you, and provides you with the tools, skills, and coaching you need to find long-lasting success.
Q: Why should I take this class?
A: There comes a point when you have tried repeatedly on your own to stop viewing pornography, but you've been unable to. Now what? The purpose of this class is to give direction to those struggling to gain control again. The topics are designed to help individuals gain the birds-eye view of what recovery entails and give them encouragement toward the right direction.
Q: Who's the class for?
A: The current demographic for the class is young adult men, ages 18-30 who have consistently attempted to stop viewing pornography without success.
Q: Do I need to come each week? Can I pick just one or two topics
A: You can come whenever you'd like, but you'll get the best experience if you come to all 8 class. All of the topics bleed together and support one another. They're kind of like separate colors on an artist's pallet, but when mixed together, they give you the full picture of recovery.
Q: I know someone who should take this class, but they don't think they need it. What should I do?
A: If they aren't ready to come to this class, then frankly, they are likely not ready to change and won't recovery seriously. If a gentle push will help them come, they will be welcome with open arms and we'll see if we can't give them the encouragement they need. Otherwise, love them, set appropriate boundaries with them, and hopefully they'll come around.
Q: Will you be teaching in other areas or at other times?
